The parties to this agreement agree and declare a ceasefire and the receipt of effective hostilities at the signing of this amendment: the peace agreement included a wide range of reforms envisaged; the obligation to conduct a human rights investigation by a truth commission and to examine the security forces for human rights reasons. The former Nigerian head of state, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, facilitated the negotiations that led to the agreement.  However, civil society also played an important role in the discussions. Representatives of interfaith people, human rights, prodeocraty, women`s rights and legal organizations were admitted as official delegates and many others participated informally as observers. Women have been particularly vocal in these peace talks. Every day, between 150 and 200 refugee activists came to the hotel where the talks were being held to try to stop the Monrovia shooting and violence in their country.  These women were organized by the Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace. The Accra Comprehensive Peace Agreement was the last peace agreement of the second Liberian civil war. It was established on 4 June 2003 in Akosombo, Ghana, following the signing of a ceasefire agreement and “intense hijacked negotiations”.  v) When the executive position is assigned to one party, the two alternate positions are assigned to the other two parties. If there are more than two substitute positions in a ministry, a public body or an autonomous agency, the Council of State appoints qualified Liberian citizens to fill the third and remaining substitute positions.
Count 5 is amended to read: The belligerents agree to withdraw within the time frame of the timetable to be added to this document and to move to certain collection points. (iii) The Council establishes and suspends the appropriate internal regulations for its work, which must be signed by all members at their inauguration. (1) In the event that a party, a new armed group or a dissident group and/or individuals refuse to reject acts of offence, the LNTG, in collaboration with ECOMOG, has the power to use the necessary force to enforce compliance with the acts.
